Staple Pieces In My Wardrobe
Hi babes!
Today I’m inviting you in my closet…well kinda. Sometimes it can be hard to find your aesthetic when it comes to your style. No matter what you’re doing you should be 100% authentic. Pulling a little inspiration from someone or something here and there is totally fine but add a dash of you when doing so!
How can I find my true authentic self when it comes to my outfits Av?
I’ll let you in on a secret…
Staples! No, not the handy office supply, staple pieces in your wardrobe.
Style Tip: When you have staple pieces in your wardrobe like white tennis shoes, black bodysuits, denim jeans that are perfect for everyday wear, it makes getting ready and styling yourself much easier.
One of my favorite staple pieces I have in my closet is an assortment of white crop tops! Whether it’s scooped or v-neck they go with everything!
A white crop top can be styled in a variety of ways. Maybe you’ll pair your crop top with a pair of great denim or a fun skirt with a pop of color. Either way, your look is going to be comfortable, casual, and cute!
My next staple piece are maxi skirts. I like having an array of them. Different colors, bold prints & patterns, etc. One day I might style my maxi with a white crop top ( one of my staple pieces) or go another route and pair a sparkly blouse to add some flare & fun. The fun part about staple pieces ( and any item of clothing ) is you can dress them up, or dress them down. It all depends on your mood, outing, or even weather.
Here are some more of the staples that live in my closet:
Tennis Shoes
My favorites: Adidas Stan Smiths, Nike Cortez, Black platform Vans.
Black Turtlenecks
Perfect for when it gets cooler outside! I live in these during fall and winter!
Dresses
When living in Texas you don’t really see drastic seasonal changes until late November, early December. I live in my summer wardrobe until then! Dresses are the easiest pieces to style. If it’s ever a bit chilly I add long sleeves such as a turtleneck or collared shirt. Chic? Very!
